Beetles a thousand in number, a black sea across the sand.
A dialect lost to time, an ancient misunderstood land.
It swallows me, each glassy bead, each golden seed.
I bathe in what the stone man bleeds.
Echoes of the trapezoidal shape, the undoer of creation, our mouths agape.
Each brick laid by the kinesis borne of lore from above.
Feathers splinter from the hands of the oppressor as they clasp the dove.
Raise the silver spawn from the core, a chariot of lead adorned with the backs of the common borne.
Willingly we grasp the thorn.
Beating back the stinging sand from my brow, I wonder if the uncleansed will ever be left alone.
Assimilation is as painful as the punishment breaking the rules holds. Wearied wanderer in bitterest cold, a wind so callous the steel starts to fold.
How it gives and buckles, hear the war machine ache, with every hollow thud we hear our every mistake.

Grasping at the hatch, I reach for the keys, I’m bloodied and broken but not yet on my knees.
It rains from the sky, this fated doom of ours, unrelenting in its nature, not bound by mortal powers.
Estima, the craft of the resistance, through toil and graft and stubborn persistence.
Claw at the suns eyes, it looks down with a cruel gaze, melting our hands as it did raze our crop.
Two toed boots of iron lug fit ill on Terran feet, as I trudge the earth and my flesh meet.
A familiar path underfoot for the last time, each boot splinters the planetary crust.
Like a sentient rust enveloping something we truly hold dear.
Is this something we will fear for the last time?
Or a fear we are bound to, a dread we will truly miss.
Do not take this choice from us.
Underground resistance sect, forbidden alien tech.
Digging in the ground for answers,
Bionic humans with self made cancer.
Smouldering ash from the knee down,
Skin bubbles in the beam of the suns frown.
Crown the kings of the scum we value,
Embrace their words as they try to drown you.
